MP backs biodiesel tax break campaign

Liberal Democrat MP Andrew George is backing a campaign to keep tax breaks for companies who produce biodiesel.
Producers converting cooking oil into biodiesel currently take advantage of a 20p differential however that is due to end next April.
The St Ives MP, who leads the Lib Dem Environment Team, has been meeting the UK sustainable biodiesel alliance.
Mr George stated "a number of little services in Cornwall presently earn money from utilized cooking oil".
He included: "In order to be able to get this type of industry going it does require simply a bit of lift which comes in the kind of tax inevitable."
is a blend of standard diesel, rapeseed and vegetable oils.
